Hummus is very easy to make. Here are so me great recipes. Also, most stores would probably carry it - look in the dip or fresh vegetables area by bottled dressing (that is where it is in our store).
Hummus
This hummus recipe is perfect for those who like hummus, but not with tahina. Many children don't like tahini, so this is a great recipe to make for them.
1 can garbanzo beans / chickpeas
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon cumin
In a food processor, blend all ingredients together until smooth and creamy.

Quick, easy, and healthy what more could you ask for?
1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
1/2 cup plain yogurt
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoon minced garlic
2 teaspoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 tablespoons tahini
Mix all ingredients together in a food processor or blender. Mix until smooth.
Tahini is roasted sesame seed paste. This can be found in the ethnic food section.
If this is unavailable, you may substitute creamy peanut butter for this.
