Is a dryer supposed to heat plastic buttons to the point they get soft?

I just bought a new dryer and notice that it is heating my shirts and dress pants to the point where when i turn it off the buttons are malleable. I had the thing set to "Very dry" so i guess that means "Very hot?". It is an Ingles dryer from Best Buy. Thanks. Is a dryer supposed to heat plastic buttons to the point they get soft?
Short answer, no.

A clothes dryer reaches a temperature of around 175 degrees F during a drying cycle. Most plastic does not melt until it reaches temperature of above 300 degrees.

If your dryer is getting hot enough to make plastic "soft", there might be a problem with your dryer's thermostat. Call the manufacturer and check with them.Is a dryer supposed to heat plastic buttons to the point they get soft?
i think you put the dryer too long and it melt the buttons, please read the Direction on how long you should dry your clothes or you are going to damage all of them.
